                                               Team Magnitude

We believe in team building. Each one of us is committed to help one another improve on a daily basis. We look after each other on the mat and off of the mat. Our #1 and #2 Rules that everyone memorizes from day one : Protect yourself from potential injury and Protect your training partners at all times. Off the mats, we often do activities together such as UFC parties, get togethers, movies, field trips to other academies for friendly training, etc. We are fortunate to have a wide variety of training partners from small to large, women and men, slow to fast and the cool part is: Everyone extremely friendly and welcoming!

                                          BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Very physical in demand but also a thinking man's game. Derived from Japanese Ju Jutsu (related to Judo) the art was brought from Japan to Brazil. It was taught to the Gracie Family in the early 1900's where they refined the art into their own style which is now known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was made popular in the United States in the early 1990's through the Ultimate Fighting Championships where representative Royce Gracie displayed amazing martial arts skills defeating dangerous and much larger and stronger opponents. Today, the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is growing stronger than ever at an incredible pace with tournaments in GI (uniform) and NO-GI (shorts & T-shirt) appearing everywhere and frequently including the World & International Championships. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a very big part of mixed martial arts fighting, no holds-barred (fighting in a cage or a ring), along with wrestling, boxing, and kick boxing.
